My Approach to Helping

Are you searching for your sense of purpose or maybe feel like you’ve misplaced it? Do you feel like there’s something more for you out there? Many people struggle on their personal and spiritual journeys. Maybe you’re not sure of which career field to go into, or are in a career that is no longer feeding your soul, or have recently retired, the kids have moved out and now it’s time to re-evaluate what you want in life. Or maybe you’re feeling stuck in a relationship that you’ve outgrown, or have lost that zest for life that you used to have. There are a million unique reasons why we struggle, feel lost, stuck, and don’t know what steps to take next. We need trusted connection; which is why I want to build a positive, supportive, non-judgmental and genuine therapeutic relationship with you. Together we will walk though your story, along the way reconstructing those beliefs or values that no longer serve you and learning skills for how to cope with the stress, anxiety, depression, and feelings of disconnection that you are experiencing.

While each person’s situation is unique, I have worked with many people that are feeling similar to the way you are now. I teach and practice skills to help you feel more grounded, tap into your intuition, come from a place of abundance rather than fear, and find your passion. I do this by using specialized interventions including mind-body techniques, mindfulness practices, self-compassion, EFT “tapping,” and other energy modalities, in addition to engaging in open inquiry using traditional “talk” therapy.

I ultimately help my clients become aware of the person they want to be and give them the tools they need to get there. I help you to work with your own inner guide to get back into the flow of life and away from either the monotony or chaos that you're feeling. More Info About My Practice

I also offer short term, 4-6 weekly, coping skills sessions in which I offer specific techniques to help you reduce stress without the benefit of longer term, in depth therapy. During this time you will learn mind-body techniques, mindfulness practices, as well as EFT "tapping" to easily and effectively reduce anxiety. These sessions are not covered by insurance and cost $125 per session.

My Role as a Therapist

I believe that it is my role as your therapist to be your teammate and a part of your support system on your journey. I understand that no one knows what you need better than you do. Therefore, I walk beside you in our client-therapist relationship, in an open, non-judgmental, and genuine way, to help you uncover those places where you may be stuck or need help. And I let the therapeutic relationship and process unfold easily. This allows us to naturally come across your specific patterns, stories, and beliefs that need to be reconstructed, as well as identifying needed coping skills, in order for you to move forward and live your best life.
