I'm a therapist because therapy helps create positive change. You can achieve your goals. I can help you cross the finish line. Therapy doesn't have to be a long, drawn-out undertaking. I can help you improve your life right now, and make life's challenges less difficult. Therapy helps you get rid of unhelpful patterns and feelings of being stuck. Sometimes the way we think, feel, and behave about a problem is a major contributor to the pain it causes.

Do you hope to better understand yourself and your relationships? Are you sick and tired of feeling depressed or overwhelmed? I draw on 10 years of experience to help couples and individuals of all backgrounds with many concerns. I enjoy helping clients master new skills. I truly care for all of my clients.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

* Open and honest communication
* Non-judgmental
* Curious
* Expert communicator and good at reading non-verbal behavior
* Practical advice and solutions offered
* Use of everyday language, avoiding clinical jargon
* Use of custom-tailored interventions, not over-reliance on clinical theories
* Focus on behavior, emotions and thoughts, not reliant on any one mode

What Makes up a Problem?

Most of our perceived problems are related to our perception of them. We either want more of a particular experience (e.g. bliss, joy, peace, etc) or solutions that meet our cravings (e.g. partner changing behavior, etc), however, often solutions involve a balance of Acceptance and Change. Therefore, our perception will have to shift for us to "let go" of a problem and for us to not define ourselves as limited to "the problem."
