My Approach to Helping
I take a holistic approach to working with individuals and families, considering the many facets of their lives. I love helping people reach their goals in therapy whether that means dealing with a life transition, an ongoing issue or to create a specific change. I want people to walk away with tools that they can use immediately. I aim to provide a safe and respectful environment that is free of judgement.
More Info About My Practice
I have been in private practice on the Upper West Side for more than 20 years. I am a graduate of the prestigious, Ackerman Institute For The Family. I also have training in a variety of different treatment modalities.
My Role as a Therapist
I see my role as a therapist as being an active listener. The part of my work that I enjoy the most is drawing connections and helping people see things in a new light. I believe that therapy should include the creation of goals that we work together to achieve. This holds us both accountable.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
If you are on the fence about going to therapy I suggest you schedule a consultation. A consultation is a full session that allows you to determine if we are a good match. There is no obligation beyond that first hour. Therapy is about the relationship. You have to feel that I can help you in order to make the changes that you are seeking.
