My Approach to Helping
I provide psychotherapy for individuals (children, adolescents, and adults.), working from a client-centered perspective that is integrative, collaborative, and recovery-based (i.e., incorporates client's strengths instead of solely focusing on negatives or pathology). This provides a safe space for clients to feel heard, understood, and respected. I am also an expert in working with gay, lesbian, bisexual, and same-sex attracted clients and the unique psychological issues present in the community.
I have been in practice since 2008, and I have worked with individuals in ages ranging from 5 to 85 years old. I have a credential in School Counseling K-12 and have worked in schools and non-profit agencies. I support clients in building positive communication, fostering meaningful relationships, practicing appropriate social skills, utilizing healthy coping strategies, and establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries within a culturally sensitive approach to generate lasting interpersonal change.
I treat everyone with respect and warmth. I work to ensure that our sessions will be tailored to your needs and goals. I'm available for online therapy sessions with individuals anywhere in the state of California. I graduated from Saint Mary's College of California. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, #8570 in California.
