My Approach to Helping
I might have somewhat of a slight bias when I say this, but I believe that therapy is beneficial for everybody. I think that mental health is just as important as physical health, but due to the stigma related to mental health and mental health treatment, people often don't want to seek treatment or don't want to acknowledge that they have a problem. If you are currently viewing my profile, then you are probably looking for help for yourself or for a loved one. I commend you for that. It can be hard to admit that you have a problem and then seek out help for it. I would describe myself as a therapist that connects well with most people, regardless of age or gender. My style is fairly laid-back and I aim to provide a comfortable environment. I believe that the relationship between a client and therapist is the most important thing for success in treatment so I try to ensure that my clients feel heard and validated during sessions.
