My Approach to Helping
I help my clients enjoy their work, let go of negative thinking and grow in emotional wealth. For 6 years I've helped clients address the depression, anxiety, conflict, parental heartache and substance abuse that are associated with work stress. With proven exposure techniques, I help clients re-train their brains' warning systems to decrease panic and fear. They experience: respect, acceptance, wisdom, humor and energy! I prefer to use real world language, not jargon, and my clients appreciate that our relationship feels like a team of two, not a therapist lecturing her client. Positive psychology is a firm foundation and base that helps my clients think more clearly, worry less, improve relationships and increase their internal motivation. I recognize my clients' strengths, desires and values and use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, boundaries exercises and an understanding of their family of origin to help them find freedom from fear and worry!
