My Approach to Helping
My approach to helping is focused primarily on building a therapeutic relationship as a solid foundation and tailoring evidenced-based interventions to match the unique and specialized needs of each person I work with. I deeply value the balance of authenticity, realness, and professionalism. I believe that treating the whole person is critical for wellness and optimal functioning. I specialize in the issues women and teen girls face and also work with transitional age youth and college students. I help those I work with manage a range of clinical concerns and issues, including coping, self-esteem, anxiety, mood disorders, personal growth, stress management, wellness, and holistic health.
I offer a warm, professional space where we can explore your needs, goals, and concerns. The therapeutic relationship has, in research, been repeatedly found to be vital to healing. This relationship is my primary commitment.
In my practice, I draw heavily upon my clinical psychology, advocacy and outreach backgrounds, as well as my bilingual clinical work, experience in community mental health, and my multicultural insights. These concerns often play an important role in therapy.
No matter what you face in this season of your life, My deepest passion and desire is to help you restore hope and not only survive, but thrive.
