The most important item in a counseling relationship is developing a good professional rapport with clients; I want my clients to know that I practice non-judgmental acceptance and genuineness; clients must be able to trust and feel comfortable discussing their issues their therapist because healing is the process of the restoration; without a good counseling relationship healing is difficult to achieve; an individual can have true healing if he or she is willing to be honest about the challenges that are causing them discomfort and pain; with my assistance, the client will be able to be able to look inside and look at the truth of his or her struggle and explore how he or she can become better and turn that event or challenge into a life lesson; whether it is marriage, parenting, addiction, or dealing with hard to control emotions; we will work better with good rapport to bring you the client to a well-balanced individual.

More Info About My Practice

At my practice, counseling and the therapeutic relationship is between the client and the therapist; insurance companies and third party billers require notes on the client's progress as well as diagnostic information which in my view makes things less confidential and private; having a fee-for-service practice allows the me the ability to ensure that the relationship between client and therapist remains individualized, private and confidential; twenty-five minute initial phone consultations are at no cost to the client; that way you as the client can ask questions, get to know what I do, and decide if you want to continue to build a relationship with me.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

Life is filled with challenges and sometimes we need help from others; often an individual has completely exhausted his or her efforts to fix a problem before seeking outside assistance; if it?s your first try at counseling you may be a little nervous and have lots questions that don?t have answers yet; put your concerns aside; you have taken a very important step in healing and it will get easier as you go through the process. All of us get overwhelmed; sometimes it?s good to have seek counseling; it the first step at growing, healing, and becoming a better you.
