My Approach to Helping

Bibliotherapy Group is a unique and powerful type of therapy that utilizes the stories of fiction
to help my clients restore meaningful connections with themselves, their relationships and with the world around them in times of difficult transitions and emotional and social challenges. Group members read the same story and come together to discuss their interpretations under the guidance of myself, a marriage and family therapist. Sharing interpretations and perspectives opens the door to seeing the world from different viewpoints, enables wonderful relationships with the people who share our lives.

More Info About My Practice

Enjoy reading novels and want to enrich your life? I utilize Bibliotherapy Group as a tool to broaden your perspective of life. Read and discuss with others to learn how to see the world from different points of view and by doing so enrich your own life!

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Bibliotherapy Group is a wonderful opportunity to enrich, grow and change your life by reading, sharing and taking in other people's perspectives. Since each person reads a story differently according to their own past life experiences, hearing different perspectives allows you to broaden your own perspectives.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

Bibliotherapy Group runs on a six week cycle. Two weeks to read the novel on your own,
followed by once a week meetings for 4 weeks at my office for one hour and 45 minutes.
