My Approach to Helping
I believe that by getting to know ourselves–our strengths, frailties, and beliefs about ourselves and others–life will become more peaceful and fulfilling. In the more than 30 years since I received my MSW from Hunter College, I have worked in many areas of mental health with people from all walks of life. I know that change is not only possible but often necessary if we are to live our best life.
As a therapist, my role is to guide people along the path of self-knowledge through empathic listening, non-judgmental acceptance and supportive, sensitive feedback. I am also a clinical hypnotherapist and experienced in Breath Work and Eye Movement Therapy. I am pretty down-to-earth, outspoken when necessary, and I have a good sense of humor.
If you would like to meet me for a brief consultation to see if we’re a good fit, call or send me a message. I would love to help you become the best you.
