My Approach to Helping

Janelle Railey's fundamental approach to treatment is based on a consideration of relationship; that of mind and body, therapist and individual, patient and self, and self and world. Her in-depth treatment is tailored to each individual's unique circumstances, and is sourced in Modern Analytic, Contemplative, and Existentialism.

Janelle focuses on our inherent connection to wellness, as opposed to pathology, and assists people in cultivating and ability to listen to the connection between mind and body, to gain understanding, and to untangle life patterns that block naturalness and ease.

She helps people examine both the somatic and psychosomatic makeup of their problems, and uses each therapy session as a chance to observe and help people in getting closer to an integrated self.

Taking a personal and integrated approach, Janelle believes the unconscious mind has the power to heal, and uses creative methods to bring this power to fruition. Depending on the person, she will help explore the past as it influences the present; use dreams or guided visualization to examine imagery and metaphor; primarily though, she will encourage and assist you to put your own thoughts and feelings into words.

Janelle works with an array of symptoms and issues, including unique services for clients that wish for a greater sense of meaning in their lives.
