I offer expressive therapies and counseling, utilizing the healing power of creativity and the effectiveness of proven therapeutic techniques to promote a client's growth, knowledge, and transformation. The collaboration between a therapist and client is fostered by deep listening, empathy, and trust. The first step toward a happier life is your decision to trust the process as you move through positive transitions. I will create a safe place where you will be able to share your personal story without judgement or fear. Obstacles along the way are examined, clarified, then transformed. We will work together as you gain greater self-awareness and well-being.

I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy. It is an effective method of easing the memory and impact of trauma through the use of eye movements or other bilateral stimulation. It has been widely studied and proven to ease the symptoms of PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) as well as those of other lessor traumas.
My Therapy Focus
I use expressive art therapy in my sessions with clients if they are open to incorporating it into their work. It is not required in every session, nor with every client. No special talent or artistic ability is required to benefit from art therapy. It is effective with all ages and genders. Art therapy uses painting, drawing, doodling, and sculpting, but can also utilize poetry, journaling, music, creative writing, movement or memoir. I am trained in traditional talk therapy as well as art therapy. Sometimes a client may prefer to communicate without art making. It is always your choice. Words are often not sufficient to convey the deepest emotions. Art therapy uses the creative process to gradually bring troubling thoughts into the present consciousness where they can be understood and transformed.
