My Approach to Helping
Therapy is a journey toward self discovery, self realization, growth and change. So many people find themselves struggling with issues such as addiction, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and fear. They create inaccurate beliefs about themselves based on irrational and negative thoughts. Building a positve self is based on learning to see the whole "you" and not just your imperfections and failures.
As human beings, we have a strong tendency to repeat maladaptive patterns. I work with clients in helping them make changes which are necessary, focusing heavily on their strenghts and successes which have been achieved in the past.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
I have come to the realization that no one, including myself is exempt from suffering. Suffering is a part of life. My own suffering has made me a better therapist. I am more compassionate and understanding and much less likely to come from a place of blame or superiority. While in therapy myself I experienced what was helpful for me as well as what was not. I learned new ways in which I could survive what life sent my way. My clients have also made me a better therapist and person. They have shown me the resilence humans possess in the face of sometimes unimaginable life events.
