My Approach to Helping
I ask questions that most of us choose not to entertain, questions that one ponders on when life no longer makes sense the way it used to and "solutions" we once leaned on have ceased to be effective. I am not here to teach you how to think or to save you from your problems. I am here to invite you into a safe therapeutic environment where you may share your human story without shame or fear of judgement where we will address and change aspects of your life that trouble you. Whether you are someone who wants to make a change, in need of processing grief, or just trying to learn better copping skills to better your life, I can help.
I have worked in both private practice as well as rehab and primary mental health facilities. I am bilingual in both English and French. My approach to therapy is humanistic and with existentialist flavors. I am a musician and combine music and writing in many of my sessions. My primary goal is to assist you in accessing your raw, unfiltered authentic Self.
I know what it's like to ask questions that no one has answers for, to feel as though there is no way out of your isolationism or dysfunction when life hits you with problems that confront you with absurdity, leaving you feeling stuck and misunderstood. Together, we will sit with your shadow, we will explore your humanity, and pursue your life meaning.
