The therapists at Tides of Mind Counseling have worked extensively with teens, children, couples, adults, and families. Founded by Iolanda Marucci in 2014, Tides of Mind Counseling rapidly expanded to two office locations in Waterbury & Torrington, CT. They offer creative approaches, including mindfulness and meditation, horticulture therapy, aromatherapy, art and music therapies and other creative modalities for clients struggling with depression, anxiety or stress.
Tides of Mind Counseling is conveniently located in Waterbury and Torrington near the highway and with accessible public transportation. Both offices offer a tranquil spa-like space so clients can feel relaxed from the moment they walk through the door.

Out of Pocket Fees: $70-$150 per session.

Iolanda Marucci is a licensed clinical social worker with more than a decade of experience in the field of child, adolescent and adult family therapy. She is also a certified school social worker and provided direct services to Waterbury Public Schools for 8 years. She founded Mindscapes Counseling, LLC in 2014.
Iolanda specializes in the treatment and assessment of adult and childhood anxiety disorders, personality disorders, autism spectrum conditions, mood issues, attention deficit (ADHD), behavioral challenges, and learning disabilities. She has worked extensively with young adults engaged in high-risk behaviors or facing emotional challenges such as anxiety, self-injury, depression, substance abuse and trauma.
Iolanda offers family, individual, and couples counseling, in addition to providing strengths-based parental support. She incorporates mindfulness and meditation into her work, relying where appropriate on art therapy, aromatherapy and music therapy.
Iolanda enjoys working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds. She is skilled at educational law, special education services, crisis intervention and behavioral intervention support. She has extensive experience creating educational programs and empowering parents to advocate for their children's educational needs. She has a strong working relationship with many community providers, and is widely admired for her compassionate, direct approach to working with adolescents, children and adults.
