My Approach to Helping
My work as a holistic psychotherapist is based on a growth oriented and heart centered approach that assists individuals and groups to find clarity and direction within themselves. I define part of my role as to be a transitional guide and an ally in order to support and assist someone who is going through inner and outer transition and change. A time of transition is often induced by outer circumstances, such as divorce, illness and loss or it may be a prompting from within to grow and explore new possibilities.
In a gentle and creative space we explore the inner work that is going to help facilitate your process and journey towards well-being and increased self-understanding. This kind of inner process is essential in order to accept and integrate all parts of ourselves and to make peace with the past. At the same time the deeper Self holds untapped resources of nourishing and creative energy to assist you in uncovering your unique gifts and potential.
This healing process is a collaboration between client and therapist and is designed according to individual needs and preferences. Our sessions may include compassionate, and in-depth dialogue, guided imagery, in addition to meditation and mindfulness practices/relaxation.
Trained in Psychosynthesis, my approach to helping is inclusive and open-minded and designed to help from a multilevel perspective - we practice awareness to the sensations of the body as well as create a space that invites the whole nature of who you are, including emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of self.
Some additional approaches offered: Spiritual counseling, expressive arts and lifestyle coaching.
Sometimes your most empowering move towards change and healing is giving up a story that turns out not to be true! Daring to face the unknown we may find that fear has stopped us from exploring untold opportunities within and without.
