My Approach to Helping
I believe in being sensitive and open-minded to people. Going into therapy can be a difficult decision and it's important that a person is made to feel comfortable and accepted. My approach would then be to discuss what had brought them to therapy and together, process these feelings and work towards therapeutic goals.
More Info About My Practice
I have worked in both mental health and substance abuse facilities for over 10 years. During this time, I have done both group and individual counseling. I am very passionate about helping people work through anxiety, depression, trauma, fears, loss, and addiction. I believe in meeting a person where they are at and applying an approach that best meets their needs.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
It is natural to be hesitant about starting or returning to therapy. Its also important to remember that therapy is a safe, private and non-judgemental place that will offer support and guidance.
