My Approach to Helping
My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based and humanistic, believing strongly in every person's ability to reach their highest potential.
I have seven years of experience working with adults and adolescents in human service agencies including: co-occurring treatment centers, community mental health centers and therapeutic specialty courts. I have worked with clients regarding depression, anxiety, complex trauma, identity or low self-esteem issues, psychotic disorders, women’s concerns, relationship and family problems, life transitions, and drug alcohol abuse or dependency.
I enjoy working with the unique qualities each individual brings to therapy and love creating an environment that is safe and conducive to deep reflection and positive change. I provide trauma informed therapy and favor a holistic and psycho dynamic approach to counseling, using mindfulness and creative expression interventions.
