My Approach to Helping
I recognize that taking the first step in seeking therapy shows courage and strength. I will meet you with compassion, empathy, and support moving forward. I have experience in assisting with a wide range of issues that include: trauma, depression, anxiety, end-of-life challenges and grief, military family issues, major life transitions, and adjustments. I have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, public schools, and a youth detention center.
My approach is that therapy is going to look different for each individual. There is no one-size-fits-all treatment plan in therapy because we all come with different backgrounds and experiences. I will meet you where you are. We will utilize your strengths and work together to create a plan that is the best fit for you.
Clients should expect to take away a better understanding of themselves. Clients will have the opportunity to develop coping strategies that will assist in managing difficult thoughts and emotions that can get us frustrated, overwhelmed, and stuck. You will be heard, supported, and empowered to take the next steps and maximize your happiness and potential.
