My Approach to Helping

I work closely with people in therapy so that they can reach their life goals. This is accomplished by listening to them, supporting them as they address presenting issues, and teaching them healthier approaches to life. I have guided people through a variety of major life transitions, helping them to maintain their identity, increase self-confidence, and press on with purpose. I enjoy sharing my professional experience and expertise by treating people in need, as well as through public speaking engagements, workshops, presentations, and publishing.

My objective is to help you identify your purpose in life and to excel in it. I employ a range of empirically-supported approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy, that empower people as they journey to better health. My counseling style integrates Christian beliefs and principles, however, I work very well with and have the utmost respect for people from different religious backgrounds. As we progress in treatment, I will ensure we work at your own pace and comfort level with regards to faith.

More Info About My Practice

I earned my Bachelor of Communications from Chapman University and Master of Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver and is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Coach. For the past 6 years, I have worked individually and with groups with adolescents and adults as a coach and counselor in a goal setting, forward-thinking approach to life situations.

My Role as a Therapist

I am here to help you heal from your past and grow into the person you are created to be. Life can throw us around sometimes and it's in the counseling rooms that you can find guidance to move forward from the past pains and into a life that is still to come, full of wonderful experiences for you to create.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

There are a lot of negative connotations about therapy. I find my approach is slightly different as I am a trained counselor, but act as a coach, helping you learn more about yourself and move into a space that is productive and fruitful. You may have had a rough experience in the past, and I invite you to come in and meet with me to see how I can help you process through the areas in your life that are holding you back.
