Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired ? This can be with regards to substances or being stuck in a particular area in your life. Balance and sense of self are important to living a harmonious life. Many people suffer from co-occurring disorders use substances to cope with mental illness. I work with adolescents and adults to assist them with managing mental health disorders, to learn about the disease of addiction and work towards creating the happy, healthy person we want to be. I assist with life changes that can sometimes throw us for a loop; and help get you back on track to where you want to be. Anxiety and depression affect the way we live and sometimes ordinary challenges are too much to handle, I can help with this by helping you to understand why you are thinking the way you are and how to make the changes that may be helpful in breaking unhealthy patterns to a healthier you.

Addiction, Trauma/Abuse, and Life Challenges are areas I specialize in. I help adolescents and adults who struggle with their place in their lives to go to a place they want to be. I can help you understand the underlying causes of addiction, how trauma/abuse may affect problem solving skills and learn new coping skills to work with life's many challenges,

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I have learned to be a better listener and a better communicator. Lack of self-esteem, isolation and the feelings that we aren't being heard/have no one to talk to, inability to socialize and engage with peers are problems we often face in adolescence. Substance use is often the answer initially until it is too late and we have developed addiction issues in addition to social. legal, education. employment issues. My struggles with Addiction and trauma/abuse have made me a better therapist because while I don't walk in your shoes mine have been on a similar path. Let me help you get off that path and into a better place.
