My Approach to Helping
I believe that counseling should be a partnership and that most people have the ability within themselves to work through their struggles. As a counselor, I am here to be a real, authentic person, helping put the pieces of the puzzle together with you, and provide needed tools to help you live your best possible life. I would like to help you and support you through any of your current or past challenges. My Master of Arts degree is in Guidance and Counseling, Community Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. I am a mother of two adult children and have lived in the Detroit area, Boise, and now happily in Phoenix. I have been providing counseling for children, teens, adults, families, and couples for over 39 years. I specialize in helping people of all ages with trauma, anxiety, depression, and many other challenges. I have 20+ years of experience providing family therapy and also specialize in working with teens and young adults. I have helped people from various ages, races, and cultures with a variety of mental health concerns. I am happy to talk with you and begin the process together. I have experience providing CBT, DBT, EMDR, EFT, person-centered, and trauma-focused therapies.
