My Approach to Helping
Hello! My name is Heidi and I’m a new mom (with a 5 month old) and a veteran of the US Air Force. I enjoy meeting and working with people who want a better life for themselves and for their family. Life is stressful and many times situations or relationships are thrust upon us that we have little control over, but those who seek out help, and who want relief from the rut of negative thought patterns or relationships are who I’m here for.
I utilize an eclectic mix of CBT, Dialectic Behavioral therapy and family system therapy but am also certified as a Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. My goal is to assist clients in examining distressing relationships, behaviors or thoughts and growing through them. Understanding your own thought, behavior and relationship patterns is key to honoring who you are, growing from past experiences (good or bad) and working toward a more peaceful and authentic life.
