My Approach to Helping
I'm here to listen. With a mindful approach, I encourage others to be themselves while opening up about life's challenges, however big or small. If you or your relationship are feeling stuck, sad, or frustrated that's a clue from your mind there is a need for change. I wholeheartedly believe the chance to speak authentically with a trusted individual is critical to our wellbeing and taking the time to learn more about ourselves is invaluable. I am happy to help in that process.
More Info About My Practice
My therapeutic methods are customized to an individual's needs, with an emphasis on mindfulness-based and cognitive behavioral therapy. These are both excellent methods for adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety and PTSD, as well as depression, addiction, and recovery. I am also trained in Imago Relationship Therapy and adore working with couples.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I love anxiety. Helping people who experience anxiety is fulfilling. I love helping others figure out what's really going on behind their worries, fears, and obsessions. Once we can pinpoint the source, we can soothe the mind, calm it down, and take our lives back. As one who also experiences anxiety, I know it can be absolutely debilitating, and with compassionate attention, we can free ourselves from its hold.
What I Usually Need to Know to Help
In order to assist you in your therapeutic journey, I need to know where you are and where you want to be in your life. What is keeping you from getting there? You might not know the specifics of these topics at the moment, and that is completely fine. We can find out through therapy. When we stop to look at our everday interactions and explore the influences of our pasts, we can find out what we need to move forward.
