My Approach to Helping
Good therapy is about self-discovery. If you sense it is time for a change, therapy can help you heal, and open you to a life of greater meaning and purpose. If the past is holding you back in the present or affecting your ability to create a fulfilling future, it may be time to reassess. If you are feeling confused, lonely, or scared, I invite you to take the first step toward a life of greater peace, and ease. Therapy supports your movement toward the realization of your goals, dreams, and personal vision of success.
I believe in a relational approach to the process of therapy. My style is interactive and characterized by warmth, patience, humor, and compassion. As you share your story, I listen closely, inviting you to notice broad themes as well as important details that may become a focus of our work together. I will support you in deepening insight and self-awareness, working through anxiety and/or depression, safely processing past or present trauma, and improving communication to enhance the quality of your life and relationships.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
I have experience working with people who had a negative first experience in therapy, and I know this can make it hard to try again. I offer a free initial in-person consultation so that you can begin to form an impression of what it would be like to work with me. I encourage you to ask questions and share any concerns you may have.
