My Approach to Helping
I am certified in REBT and Minfulness Therapy. I believe in the mind, body and spiritual connection. I am passionate about mental health and fitness and want to help others achieve their mental and physical goals. For psychotherapy, I utilize a multi-theoretical approach using different modalities and techniques including different healing elements and sensory tools for clients to use during sessions to reduce stress. I also have games such as spin the emotion to facilitate healing. I believe that no modality fits all and that it is important to get creative in the treatment process. In addition to traditional therapy, I offer a unique approach that entails stretching, grounding, exercises and positive affirmations. I found that incorporating movement enriches the counseling sessions. For personal training, I use an integrative approach using the OPT model. I received my personal training certificate from National Academy of Sports Medicine.
I specialize in healing from trauma, reducing stress, managing anger, self-esteem, relationship issues, addiction, family dynamics, goal-setting, fitness and creativity. I believe that everyone is special and capable of success and happiness.
