My Approach to Helping

My approach in helping people starts with trust and safety. I believe a trusting, collaborative therapeutic alliance is the key to a successful therapy experience. I counsel from a foundation of strength-based, and life-affirming strategies. In addition to trust, I believe challenging a client in a kind way is more curative than telling someone what they can or can't, or should or shouldn't think, do, or say. I will allow you space to come to your own conclusions without shame or judgment. Additionally, I truly believe humor is healing!

I believe therapy is the pathway in which to discover your true self, a place to learn how to accept and love your true self, flaws and all!
