My Approach to Helping
Hello!I am so glad that you are here. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in both California and Colorado. I received my undergraduate degree from UCLA and my graduate degree from Pepperdine University. Since I began practicing about 10 years ago, I have worked with clients from a variety of backgrounds and diverse life experiences. I have extensive experience working with clients who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma.
My approach to therapy has evolved as I have further developed as a therapist, and I believe that the most important factor in therapy is the therapeutic alliance. Research is now showing that the specific interventions utilized in treatment matter less than the relationship between the therapist and client. To me, this means that I will meet you wherever you are without judgment. I will focus on making sure that we are working on what is most important to you and that you are getting what you need from our time together.
I will solicit feedback from you every session on how you think our work together is going and what we may need to tweak a bit. You already have lots of inner fortitude (even if it doesn’t feel like it right now), and my job is to help you access that and use that as a jumping-off point to tackle the challenges that you are currently facing
