My Approach to Helping
My approach is supportive, interactive, open, non-judgmental, allowing for a safe place to begin the process of psychotherapy. Often times we find ourselves feeling frustrated with relationships, either at home or at work. Perhaps we are in transition, adjusting to major life events such as the loss of a job, loss of a significant person, or caring for an aging parent.
Depression, anxiety and stress can get in the way of living a more full, productive and satisfying life. Utilizing a supportive, non-judgmental, collaborative and engaged therapeutic relationship, I can help you understand those internal barriers, with the goal of relieving those symptoms. With 20 years of experience, I have worked with adolescents, adults, and students.
I practice from a psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, cognitive, behavioral and systems perspective. I am bilingual (EnglishSpanish) and multicultural. My office is located in Midtown Manhattan. Feel free to leave me a message on my confidential voicemail to set up a private consultation.
