What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

For as long as I can remember I have been someone that people come to when they are feeling down, are in a tough situation, or need someone to listen to them. I always loved being an open, empathetic listener and was so honoured that people trusted me and felt comfortable coming and talk to me when they needed someone. This developed into a desire to help others and to be there for others in times of need. This desire holds true today and has influenced my career path into becoming a psychotherapist.

In my career, I have been given the opportunity to learn and grow from my clients as they courageously share their stories, vulnerabilities, challenges, and triumphs. I enjoy working alongside my clients and witnessing firsthand their growth and resiliency as they work through their current struggles and past experiences.
