My Approach to Helping
It can be overwhelming and intimidating starting therapy, I would know because I've been there myself. I've had therapists I love and therapist that have made me feel pretty uncomfortable. One of the most important things I value as a therapist is making sure you feel comfortable with me. I do this by meeting you where you are at right now, without any judgment. I also like using a sense of humor because therapy doesn't have to be serious every minute of every session. I also want to highlight I am walking along with you to meet your goals. We will get through whatever you\'re going through together. Something I want to let you know is that I actually care about each and every one of my clients. I create specific and individualized interventions that will work best for you. Just because mindfulness works well for another person with anxiety, doesn\'t mean it is the best intervention for you! I am not a just "sit and listen" type of therapist. I will actually have a conversation with you and am an active participant in sessions. I am your biggest cheerleader and am excited to see you meet your goals!
