My Approach to Helping
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Southern California with 26 years of experience as a therapist and community worker/advocate. I offer individual, child and family counseling. My focus is strength-based; client-centered from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is paramount for growth. It is important to me that clients feel respected, heard and understood. By using self-reflection, one becomes more aware of thoughts, feelings and behaviors. My desire is to help you achieve your goals by exploring interventions you can use for a lifetime.
During my career, I have worked with people challenged by anxiety, grief and loss, phase of life issues. With a strong background in child development, I have facilitated parent groups and trained preschool teachers in early intervention workshops. I have worked with children and families in the foster care system as well as adoption.
