My Approach to Helping
I am committed to helping you resolve adverse issues such as emotional distress, anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress, substance dependence, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. I am aware that your history, challenges, and circumstance are unique, and will provide personalized treatment to suit your specific needs.
I believe that individuals do not have to relive their past struggles, distress, or pain in order for therapy to be successful. In fact, the people in my care appreciate being in a warm, safe, respectful environment where laughter is viewed as a crucial component of the healing process.
I enjoy working with individuals & strive to help meet your expectations of our time together. My hours are flexible & include some evenings. My approach is client centered and collaborative. Together we will work to set goals and develop a plan that will help you achieve them quickly.
To help you reach your goals we will utilize various modalities and techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psycho-educational approaches. We will be problem focused and action oriented. I would be honored to assist you in empowering yourself and learning to thrive.
