My Approach to Helping
Is the quality of your life affected because you are going through a challenging time? Have you lost pleasure in activities that you used to like? Are you feeling anxious all the time or in certain situations? Do you have difficulty with attention?
You do not have to face these obstacles alone. I am skilled at helping people who struggle with life experiences such as traumatic events; loss and grief; relationship issues; feeling depressed or anxious; being stressed-out from work or school; struggling with social communication/interaction; or a pattern of inattention, hyperactivity and/or impulsivity.
I will listen to you and accept you for who you are in a warm, respectful and non-judgmental manner. Together we will look at your strengths and find the tools you need to help you work through your challenges.
My training is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, in addition to Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy. I also use relaxation training and communication skill building techniques.
I provide gender identity therapy and co-facilitate transgender support groups in Nashua under supervision of a gender specialist.
Please contact me to answer your questions and to check if I will be the right therapist for you.
