My Approach to Helping
You want to feel like you’ve got things under control, but deep down you are struggling to cope with challenging experiences that have occurred in your life. You may be fed up with how quickly your mood changes, or feeling disconnected in your relationships, or completely overwhelmed with your day to day obligations. You might not even remember a time when things didn’t feel this way. But one thing is for sure: you’re ready for some relief. You’re ready to feel less overwhelmed. You’re ready for your relationships to improve. Most of all, you’re ready to regain a sense of control over your life.
Clients come to me looking for a therapist who is warm and engaged because therapy should be a place where you feel heard and understood and where you also can get feedback about your situation. Sessions with me focus on helping you understand both the root of your struggles, and also what you can do to improve your functioning and feel better in your day to day life. Also, we will always go at your pace, never pushing to a place you don’t feel ready to be.
