My Approach to Helping
I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) Marriage and Family Therapist who focuses on working with children, teenagers, and adults both individually and in the context of their families. The issues I treat range from anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief/loss to school difficulties, stress and immigration challenges.
I use a strength-based, family systems framework. I integrate a variety of tools such as cognitive-behavioral, narrative, solution-focused, and play therapy, in individual and/or family sessions. My goal is to help teens and adults develop skills to better handle whatever they are facing, gain a deeper understanding of themselves and others, and achieve the kind of personal growth that can truly transform lives.

I use a collaborative, strength-based approach. This means, that wether you realize this or not, you already have a set of strength and skills working on your favor. The focus is on leveraging your strengths to achieve your treatment goals through methods developed to fit your personal style. We work collaboratively, with the goal of helping you live a more fulfilling life. I approach these sessions with a family systems perspective; however, I tailor the direction of treatment to your individual needs.
I use a wide range of interventions such as cognitive-behavioral, family systems, narrative therapy, and solution-focused, play therapy, etc.
