My Approach to Helping

Whether it's anxiety, depression, or marriage difficulties - I am here to help you with figuring out the best ways to deal with and overcome your struggles. I applaud you for taking the first step and looking for the counselor that would be the best fit for you in assisting you on your journey of healing. I would encourage you to take another step and get in touch with me to set up a free 15 minutes initial phone consultation. During the initial consultation (by phone or email) you can ask any questions you might have before scheduling your first appointment. It also gives me a chance to get to know you and evaluate my ability to help you. In our first session, I will take time to listen to your story, explore your goals for coming to counseling and the best ways to reach them. I enjoy working with couples who are recovering from infidelity, are trying to get back together after separation or just find themselves in a difficult spot for any other reasons. If you are seeking marriage counseling, I will work with you and your spouse in rebuilding your friendship, reestablishing trust, practicing healthy conflict resolution skills, and rekindling your love for each other. If you are seeking counseling for depression, I will help you learn how to find meaning, experience joy, and connect with others. If you are seeking counseling for anxiety, we will spend time exploring the origins of your fears, examine the triggers for your anxiety, and come up with a plan on how to take small steps in conquering your fears. If you are seeking relief from PTSD or other trauma induced symptoms, I hope to provide a safe place for you to process past traumatic events with the goal of gaining new insight and gaining control over your symptoms.
