My Approach to Helping

Providing counseling and psychotherapy for more than 30 years, I am deeply committed to my work and passionate about helping those who come to me for treatment. Encouraging a very open and honest relationship helps clients feel emotionally supported. Additionally, I do my best to help those who see me feel safe and comfortable. I am the clinical supervisor for Sollars and Associates - Counseling and Psychotherapy. Our psychologists, psychotherapists and mental health counselors treat a broad range of issues, concerns and diagnoses and are directly supervised by me, according to the licensing guidelines for the State of Michigan. We also are an internship and practicum training site for Doctoral students - already licensed psychologist who are seeking an advanced degree.

With support, encouragement and expert insight, many people begin to feel better after their first session. Feel free to contact us to discuss, confidentially, whatever issue you are facing.

Thank You

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

If you are considering beginning psychotherapy, but are ambivalent, I suggest you make an appointment for an initial consultation to explore the possibility. You can determine if the process is something you would like to begin as well as whether or not that particular therapist is someone with whom you would like to work. You will likely find it is not at all scary, but rather will experience a sense of relief that you have taken this important first step.
