My Approach to Helping
Welcome...you have arrived at a place I hope can bring you comfort and hope, direction and ease, healing and wholeness. A place where you can allow yourself a good exhale, relax your shoulders and know you are safe and cared for in a respectful and confidential space. I am Francesca, a Gestalt trained psychotherapist who has had the privilege to work for over 10 years supporting my clients through many waves of experience and major life transitions.
I hold an open and honest space to allow the whole person you are, but may have forgotten, to emerge. Whatever is needed in the moment, for your support and to move you forward in your process, is offered to you. A place for your feelings and body experience(where we tend to experience our emotions), your history and family experience, your relationships and/or work life, are all welcome to take up the space and be worked through with perspective as well as introspection. We create the space of exploration and healing together. When we are supported to access all the parts of who we are, we know ourselves more fully & thus have choice in how we wish to live....to create and live our best and most fulfilled life.
More Info About My Practice
It is my privilege to work individually with you. A time that is completely yours to explore who you are are beyond the stuck or limited place you may find yourself...as you know you are capable of more. Our sessions are of course private and my only intention is to help, I pass no judgement, that is my role.
In addition to individual therapy, I am honored to aid couples and family members build bridges to open and clear communication, and fuller connection to one another. We work together to create a different path in the dynamic of the relationship. These beloved relationships are so very painful when they are strained. Continuing to 'power through' rocky relationships is like walking on a broken leg, the collateral damage becomes so bad that if you wait to long, the leg may never heal properly.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
Psychotherapy is my own healing and my preferred language, and most of all my honor to practice. I always am proud to share with those that I meet of the work I do:) Psychotherapy is indeed my life's work, my livelihood, and my vocation. It has enabled me to heal enough to break generational patterns, and bring up my teenage daughters with healthier inclinations toward expressing their feelings, have positive body image, open communication, and appropriate boundaries with others. I knew from a very young age that I would a be a therapist, and that all creatures and people needed a space to feel safe and loved. Being a therapist allows me to show kindness that I feel deep to my core, and I experience contentment to offer that to others. My clients have appreciated that I practice psychotherapy, not from a pedestal of all-knowing, but from an authentic experiential place as a fellow human who has also walked the walk. My own process of healing has enabled me to guide others...and that is why this work is my privilege and I lead with my heart.
Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
Please don't allow that to hold you back from seeking out the support you need. Therapists are drawn to the field for a reason and if they don't do their due diligence in their own therapy to work through their own issues, they can unfortunately be damaging to the people they are intending to serve. But these are only a small minority, and I offer my sincere apology if you were affected by one of these therapists. If you are reading this post, I imagine there is a glimmer of light and hope that is alive within you that believes that healing is out there for you. If so, I am here to support and validate that intuitive notion and encourage you to reach out and find the therapist to help you find your wholeness. Trust your inner voice and be drawn to whose writing and photo and voice on the phone consult that feels right.
