My Approach to Helping
Clearly, you have taken the first step toward your well-being. As a psychologist, I will respect your narrative working alongside you to explore the barriers keeping you stuck. I commit to being with you as you explore and challenge concerns, and barriers, deepening your self-awareness so that you may live your authentic life.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of New York. I completed my internship and training at Bellevue Hospital Medical Center (BHMC) followed by a two-year Neuropsychology fellowship in the Traumatic Brain Injury Unit of BHMC which led to a position as the Associate Director of the TBIRehabilitative Medicine Unit at the latter facility. I was the Director of Behavioral Health at a Community Based Organization in Harlem developing a behavioral health program for men, women, children, and LGBTQ infected and affected with HIVAIDS. I simultaneously worked in a group practice working with people diagnosed with a seizure disorder.
I come with a diverse clinical background, my clinical interest includes but is not limited to disparities in mental health services, psychogenic seizures (PNES), empowerment and self-advocacy, and HIVAIDS, as it is related to being diagnosed with HIVAIDS and mental illness.
