My Approach to Helping
Focused on YOUR situation, I arrive at the problem and situation quickly. I ask questions that are based on the model of COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY. I'm not the kind of therapist that just sits there and nods her head. By being interactive, I can zero-in on your thoughts and attitudes that need to be addressed, and also assist in the journey of what needs to be changed for YOUR positive mental health.
I have a long history of study and practice of positive approaches aimed to satisfy emotional and behavioral health. Although I mostly work with individuals on a one-to-one basis, I also work with couples for pre-marital, marital counseling, and post-divorce mediation. More Info About My Practice
It is recommended that if finances are challenging for you, the first few sessions be weekly. After that, if we're both comfortable with it, you can make an appointment for every other week. I have a sliding scale and my aim is to get you to the place you want to be...QUICKLY!

Everyone is different, as is their situation. I try to approach each individual in a respectful, discerning manner. I will honor and meet you where you are at, asking key questions so that it not only provides a road map to understand the basis for your thoughts, but also providing you with the information as to how you arrived at where you are, AND, where you want to be. Talking to someone you respect and trust will help you see that your difficulties aren't insurmountable. I have a large tool bag of therapeutic techniques that I've learned in my many years of being in practice, and I shall endeavor to use the correct one for you, as the situation necessitates.
