My Approach to Helping

As humans, we cope with adverse situations using the knowledge and skills available to us at the time. Somatic therapy provides us with the opportunity to slow down, refocus, and listen to the wisdom of the body. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist who is passionate about helping you discover the reasons you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or confused. I will provide the professional guidance you need to find healthy, positive ways to improve yourself and your relationships.
My counseling style is collaborative and relational and integrates Hakomi, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, mindfulness meditation, attachment theory, neuroscience, PACT couples therapy and my personal deep love for nature and nature's wisdom. The primary purpose of therapy is to help you develop awareness, learn to live in the present moment and develop your capacity for self-compassion and self-care so you are able to live a meaningful and empowered life. I firmly believe that if you can learn to be kinder and more compassionate with yourself, you will be able to harness your inner strengths and wisdom and nourish every facet of your life and relationships.
