People often come to therapy when they are having difficulty managing a life event, important relationship, feeling anxious and depressed, or just not feeling like themselves. Essentially, when beginning therapy you want something to change. I take an empathic, yet proactive stance to psychotherapy. I believe that in order to realize change it is equally important to gain insight into our pasts as well as learn how to alter our ways of interacting with ourselves, others, and the world around us. I utilize a strengths-based perspective and integrate aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy into treatment. A therapeutic relationship that is based in understanding, respect, and genuine connection is essential to successful treatment. Together, we will work hard to help you develop the tools that will lead to increased self-awareness and an overall sense of satisfaction in your life.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works with individual adults and adolescents as well as couples. I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. I completed an American Psychological Association accredited internship at the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services and also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut. I work with people who struggle with all types of issues. Some of my areas of specialization include: anxiety, parenting issues, couples counseling, coping with illness, and relationship issues. I am also an adjunct professor at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology where I provide clinical supervision to doctoral students.
