My Approach to Helping
If you're in emotional pain or feel conflicted about an aspect of your life, asking for help can feel scary and overwhelming. Concerns related to sex, sexuality, desire, or eroticism can make the process seem even more daunting. You might feel alone in the belief that you’re the only one who has thought, felt, or done a certain thing. You are not alone. Like you, many people find it difficult to navigate the complexities of sex, arousal, and relationships. However, those who prioritize their mental health are often calmer, have more confidence and pleasure, and feel more fulfilled in their life.
I specialize in kink-affirming sex therapy. I particularly enjoy helping people work through confusion, shame, and guilt related to sex and sexuality, as well as supporting them as they navigate the complexities of dating, sex, and relationships. In addition, I help adults with depression, anxiety, substance use, trauma, and grief. My approach to therapy is collaborative, empowering, and evidence-based. I provide a safe environment to help unburden you from painful feelings, difficult thoughts, and unhelpful patterns. People therefore learn effective coping skills, discover healthier ways of thinking, and explore new ways of living their life.
I consider those with whom I work as being wonderfully resilient and talented people. They are motivated for change and find they can benefit from professional help. If I sound like your kind of psychologist, give me a call so we can discuss your goals. You don't have to suffer in silence with unnecessary pain. I look forward to hearing from you.
