My Approach to Helping
Asking for help is both difficult and incredibly brave. I believe each of us learns to cope with our pain differently. Some have learned do so through humor, isolation, or work, while others learned to do so with drugs, alcohol, or sex. I specialize in working with professionals who struggle with substance use, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I particularly enjoy helping clients work through any shame and guilt, as well as supporting people as they navigate dating, sex, and relationships.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and empowering. Using evidence-based treatments, I offer a safe, nonjudgmental environment to help unburden you from unhelpful thoughts, painful feelings, and unhealthy patterns. I help clients gain new coping skills, discover healthier ways of thinking, and explore new ways of living their life.
My clients are wonderfully resilient and talented people. They are motivated for change and find they can benefit from professional help. If I sound like your kind of psychologist, give me a call so we can discuss your goals. You don't have to suffer in silence with unnecessary pain. I look forward to hearing from you.
