My Approach to Helping
I believe that when we feel safe enough to share our experiences and our challenges, when we know that we are heard and that someone is listening, and when we experience unconditional acceptance no matter who we are or what we've done or what we've been through, we can find the courage to heal. If you need someone to listen, therapy might be for you.

My Role as a Therapist
As a therapist, I seek to provide a safe, confidential, non-judgmental environment where you can share as openly as you wish regarding the struggles and challenges in your life. I do not give advice or answers, although I may sometimes gently direct you in certain ways that may be helpful. Rather, I attempt to listen to you as completely as possible and provide you with the space you need to tell your story, and thereby make sense of it, and thereby find the strength to move forward in your life.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
It's not uncommon to be ambivalent about the need to talk. That's why it can be beneficial to go to therapy for just one session. Just fifty minutes of sharing things that you may have never shared with others can be a tremendously healing experience, and from there you may be in a better position to decide if taking the time for additional sessions is right for you.
