My Approach to Helping
Does it feel like your head never stops spinning with worries & intrusive thoughts? Have you gone through something terrifying or heartbreaking that makes it difficult to feel safe in your body? Do you experience emotions as either totally overwhelming or almost numb and out of touch? I believe healing is possible and happens best in supportive relationships. You can expect me to listen without judgement, laugh with you, hold space for your pain, and support you in your growth. Together, we will create a plan that focuses on your challenges and goals and then track your progress regularly to make sure you are seeing the benefits.
In session, we may do breathing exercises or movement, create new and healthy habits, use tools to cope with fears or obsessive thoughts, practice being more present, heal your relationship to self or others, or safely explore difficult memories together.
I understand the courage it takes to be vulnerable with your emotions. My commitment is to provide a safe, accepting space for you to show up authentically & to help you actively apply what you gain from sessions into the rest of your life.
