My Approach to Helping
Week Day, Evening and Saturday openings. Do you experience significant emotional distress when being introduced to other people, being teased or criticized, being the center of attention, being watched while doing something, or meeting people of authority? Are you stuck at a job because you fear change or you believe you aren't good enough for something better? This list is certainly not a complete list but these feelings have all been associated with social anxiety. Physiological symptoms also accompany social anxietyanxiety and may include intense fear, racing heartbeat, turning red, and excessive sweating.
One single approach is not the answer for every individual. Being trained in a range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Somatic Therapy allows me to offer various approaches to fit the needs of different individuals. Social anxiety can be overcome although it takes both consistency and persistence.
Taking the first step towards therapy can be difficult and scary. That is why as a mental health professional I will join you on this journey of healing, so you can become the person you want to be.
