My Approach to Helping
Different clients have different needs in therapy. I blend narrative therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and strength-based therapy to tailor my approach to the needs of each client. I aim to help each of my clients tell their stories and establish goals.
In couples counseling, I work with each partner to boost communication skills, improve understanding, and create solutions. The couples who work with me frequently report feeling more understood ands satisfied in their relationships. I work with couples on the brink of ending their relationships, as well as those who have generally happy relationships that require some tweaking. I meet my clients where they are, beginning my work where it's needed.
I work with adults who face a range of challenges, from serious anxiety to questions about their direction and goals. Sometimes I work with people who aren't sure what the problem is; in other cases, the problem is obvious to my clients. We'll work together to identify how you want to grow. I use a straightforward, no-nonsense approach. My goal is to help support you through your transitions and challenges.
