My Approach to Helping
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist who works with individuals and couples seeking greater balance, harmony, and authenticity in their lives and relationships. My therapeutic lens integrates tenets of trauma-informed practice, interpersonal neurobiology, and a social justice-centered awareness of how each of our intersecting social identities uniquely shape both how we suffer and how we heal.
My mindful, holistic approach embraces who you are as a whole person–mind, body, and soul–and examines the often unconscious forces that can cause you to feel depressed, triggered, angry, anxious, or nagged by feeling “ill at ease”. I strive to provide a therapeutic container in which we may explore the root causes of your pain, so that as these are unearthed and brought into mindful awareness, you may grow into greater alignment with your core, innermost self. I believe each individual embodies infinite, beautiful complexity, and I would consider it a sacred honor to serve as a guide and witness as you embark on your healing process.
I have expertise in working with trauma survivors, particularly of sexual and intimate partner violence, complex trauma, and toxic stress. In addition, I love working with healers, creatives, academics, folks living with chronic medical conditions andor chronic pain, and members of the LGBTQIAPK+ community.
