My Approach to Helping
Therapy is a unique process and individual to each and every single person. I do not subscribe to any one method or one technique, as we all respond differently to each person and to each approach. What is most important to me is to be able to listen and to understand your pains, your desires, and your goals. By understanding your desires & goals I can more fully understand what is preventing you from reaching your goals.
To me, therapy is a journey, a journey to a healthier more fulfilled you. In order to do this I believe that compassion, caring and empathy are the keys to making these changes and to achieve happiness and fulfillment. In my practice I strive to provide a safe place in which you can explore what is keeping you from reaching your goals. My goal is to work with you so you can strive to achieve all that you want.
In order to achieve happiness and fulfillment, I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is essential. So, throughout your journey, and once I understand your wishes and dreams, I will help guide you and support you by using your strengths, to move you forward.
I have had experience working with multitude of issues ranging from anxiety, depression, severe mental illness to divorce, LGBT, family & romantic relationship issues as well as adjustment and or life transition issues in particular divorce and separation.
My experiences have included working in inner city mental health clinics, colleges, private practices, hospitals, and outpatient treatment centers. Due to the variety of work environments and experiences I have had, these opportunities have enabled me to work with people of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds as well as gender preferences, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds.
These experience have helped me to become a more effective therapist and has taught me to be open to all and to accept you for who you are and where you are at, not who others or I want you to be. Contact me for a free phone consultation.
